Laura Solomon Fine Art, a private art advisory firm, was founded in 2001 by owner Laura Solomon. LSFA offers professional art advisory services for new and established collectors, both private and corporate. LSFA specializes in the acquisition and sale of Post-War and Contemporary Art in its many forms:
painting, photography, works on paper, sculpture, installation and video.

Laura Solomon, a native New Yorker, graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. In 1990, Ms Solomon joined the Gagosian Gallery where her duties included special assistance to the director and research for the Catalogue Raisonné of Roy Lichtenstein¹s paintings.

In the fall of 1992, Ms. Solomon was hired by world-renowned Dutch artist Karel Appel to be his project co-ordinator. For the next seven years, Ms.
Solomon oversaw all aspects of project and studio management, including:
organizing museum and gallery exhibitions in the U.S., Europe and Asia; working with publishers and editors on art monographs and exhibition catalogs; supervising the artist¹s participation as scenic and conceptual designer for numerous theatre works (Opera Noach, Zauberflote); and authenticating artwork for all of the major auction houses here and abroad. Ms. Solomon was project coordinator for Karel Appel Sculpture: A Catalogue Raisonné published in 1994 by Harry N. Abrams, Inc., Publishers. During this time, Ms. Solomon managed the artist¹s studios in New York, Amsterdam, Florence and Monte Carlo.

For the past decade, Ms. Solomon has worked as a private dealer and art consultant. Her projects have ranged from high-end residential homes, to corporate offices, to development properties and hotels. Ms. Solomon places the greatest importance on honesty, discretion, integrity and resourcefulness. Her ability to address her client¹s individual needs has enabled her to create and maintain long lasting, productive relationships with her clients as well as with people in her field.

Ms. Solomon has commissioned artists for site-specific art, led gallery and artist studio tours, and mentored students in the American Arts Course at Sotheby¹s Institute of Art, NY. Ms. Solomon has participated in numerous Art Benefit Committees, is an active member of the Museum of Modern Art, sits on the Selection and Advisory Board of the PULSE art fair and is a committee member and supporter of EXIT Art.
